Management consulting

I started my career with Qvartz (now part of Bain & Company) from Copenhagen Business School in 2001. Through my 12 years with the firm I was privileged to work with a number of intriguing clients focusing primarily on strategy and commercial excellence.

After more than a decade in my "first job" I felt it was time to learn something new, and was blessed to join ReD Associates at their New York office. A period where I learned a lot about creating rich customer insights applying new and different lenses.

Coming back to Denmark in 2014 I was fueled with energy and the desire to create my own company, which resulted in the co-founding of 42 Associates (an innovation and strategy boutique firm). 42 Associates was later sold to Monitor Deloitte.

Pursuing my passion for innovation and growth led me to final stop in the management consulting industry. Returning to the Qvartz family I joined Vertical Strategy (now also part of Bain & Company), a small unit focusing on growth strategies and innovative business models.

Entrepreneurship

Throughout my consulting career, I have had the privilege to work with start-ups and young companies advising them on their growth journeys. Some has been young while others have been in the game for a while and grown in size.

Co-founding my own company (42 Associates) has similarly given me hands-on experience on what it takes to start and grow a new business - both in terms of the fundamental strategic decisions and the many - but not less important - operational decisions on a day-to-day basis.

Today, I work closely as a business coach with the founder/owner in a number of newly established companies helping them to define their goals and how to realize them.

People
development

Throughout my consulting career I have been assigned various people development responsibilities (e.g performance management; mentoring and coaching, recruitment; career development etc.).

As being part of the management teams I have been involved in day-to-day leadership decisions on how best to attract, develop and retain the single most important resource in professional services - the people.

I have worked closely with a lot of people on the client side across industry sectors, company levels and sizes. And being team lead from an early age has taught me invaluable lessons on situational leadership, coaching, feedback and people development.

Finally, I am a certified coach (ACTP) accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) from Mindjuice - graduated November 2018. This has been supplemented with five-course specialization program within Positive Psychology from University of Pennsylvania.

Endurance

As a passionate explorer and athlete, I have set personal goals to push myself beyond what I thought was possible and tap into my best self.

I have climbed Kilimanjaro in Africa, toured the backcountry of the Canadian Rockies and dived with tiger sharks off the coast of Costa Rica. Still hungry for new challenges.

I love setting new goals as an amateur athlete, which as led to the completion of a Swedish Classic in 2018 (a collection of some of the longest, largest and oldest races in the world of cycling, swimming, running and skiing), 14 x Ironman finishes, and several marathons and 70.3 triathlons – incl. some of most iconic races in the world (e.g. Alpe d’Huez Triathlon, Ventouxman and Escape from Alcatraz). I also finished Mallorca 312 in 2023, and Tour du Mont-Blanc Cyclo in 2024.

Personal triumphs – and defeats - have taught me the true meaning of discipline, perseverance, mental toughness, and commitment. Traits that are equally important in the personal and work environment.
